Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian TV presenter and actress. She's best known as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. at the age of sixteen, she had been offered a variety of television roles which included the leading role in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. Her fame was due to her portrayal on Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are also Oscar nominated features featuring female stars. Alexandra is well-known for her participation in a variety of notable projects, both in the United States and internationally. The projects include British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as well as French history mini-series Napoleon. In addition, she was an active member of the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
