Aisling Bea

Aisling is a popular Irish comedian, who's been performing for quite a while. She was born in Kildare, Ireland on 16th March 1984. She appeared with Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) more popularly known as Aisling Bea is a popular Irish actress writer and comedian. Bea began her stand-up show in 2011, after appearing as a guest on a variety of Irish TV shows as well as British shows since the year the year 2009. From 2012 on Bea began appearing on sketch comedy shows or sitcoms. After winning an award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to be booked regularly for various panel shows where she is now a regular. Between 2016 and 2017 she was a member of 8 Out of 10 Cats team and also a part-time participant of the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. She was born in the family of Brian O'Sullivan, she was blessed with one sibling named Sinead. She was in 2012 the only woman in history to be awarded the So You Believe You're Funny award. Bea the name she was given as her maiden name, is a tribute to her late dad. Aisling Cliodhnadh, born March 16, 1984, in Kildare Town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet who killed himself when she was only three years old. Bea didn't learn how her father passed away until she reached the age of thirteen. The stage name she chose was Bea in honor of her father who passed away. Bea also published an article for The Guardian on her family's suicide experience. Bea (and her younger sister Sinead) was raised in the same home as Helen Moloney who was a instructor and trainer of jockeys who was also a professional jockey. The family was awed by horses, races and the racing industry. As a young girl, Bea employed as a tour guide at the Irish National Stud however she was aware from an early age that she wasn't attracted to the race industry as a job, and enjoyed performing.
